ideas for runescapeIntroduction
Combat is the most sought after and important aspect of the game mainly because of its ability to keep you out of danger and is also an easy way to make you money but more of that another time.
[edit] Combat levels
Many monster or creatures in runescape have the ability to attack or be attacked by the opposing side the amount they hit you with is determined by there level and your level.
Combat is made up of different skills you can have a combat level based on your magic, range or strength, attack and defence.
Magic and range is basically long distance attacks either using a bow and arrow, crossbow, throwing knives and spell which also use’s runes.
[edit] Training Guide
[edit] From combat lvl 3-15
Step 1:
Go to the attack dummies located across from the East Varrock Bank. Select the attack option from the combat menu Keep attacking the dummies until you are around lvl 8. After this you should be around combat lvl 5 or 6. After you have attacked the dummies to this level, you cannot attack them anymore to gain experience.
Step 2:
When you have reached attack lvl 8, you should head to the goblin house Northeast of Lumbridge. Here you will work on raising your combat lvl to 15 by fighting the lvl 2 goblins. You should work on your strength levels next. Select the strength option from the combat menu:
You should raise your strength to at least 22. This normally takes a little over an hour, depending on how many people are in the house. Be sure to keep the door closed on the goblin house so they will not leave the building. After obtaining 22 str, select the defense option from the combat menu: You will need to raise your defense to lvl 5. After you have reached lvl 5 defense, switch back to the attack lvl, and raise it to at least 10.
Congratulations! You have just reached combat lvl 15-16.
[edit] From combat lvl 15-25
Step 1: First off you need to head to the goblin village Northwest of Falador.
Note: You will need to bring some food, and also equip the proper armour and weapon (which is steel at this point, black for weapon) if you can afford it. If you are low on food you may head up to the monastary (choas temple) and the monks will heal you.
You should start by raising your defense to lvl at least 20. Then also raise you attack to lvl 20, as well. If at anytime you get low on food, be sure to take some time out and visit the bank in Falador to buy or take food out of your bank account. When you have reached the desired goals for defense and attack, concentrate on raising your strentgh to lvl 25. This should roughly take around 2 hours to complete.
Option 2: If at anytime you feel that the lvl 5 goblins are getting hard, or taking too much food, you can always stay at the goblin house Northeast of Lumbridge to achieve your leveling goals. Congratulations! You have just reached combat lvl 25
[edit] From combat lvl 25-30
Step 1:
Note: Now that you are getting a stronger character you now have a couple of options for the next step.
I would advise that you upgrade your armour...if you have the money to do so. At this level you should purchase full Mith armour. I would suggest a Mith scimitar as your weapon.
Option 1:Dwarven mines:
Head to the Dwarven Mines: Do not enter the mines. The best spot to raise your levels are outside the entrance of the mine: Here you will face lvl 10 dwarves. Be sure that you have plently of food before you begin to battle them. Work on your strength first. You need to raise your strength lvl to at least 35. Continue fighting the dwarves, and raise your attack and defense to lvl 30.
Option 2:Al kharid
Head to the Al Kharid palace: Here you will fight lvl 9 Al Kharid warriors.
Note: When you attack one warrior, all other warriors in the area will attack you as well! BE SURE YOU HAVE FOOD! This can be a quicker way to gain exp., but just be careful. Don't hesitate to run if you are low in health.
You should concentrate on raising your strength to lvl 35, then raise your attack and defense to 30. After completing these goals you should be around combat lvl 30. Congratulations! You have just reached combat lvl 30.
[edit] From combat lvls 30-45
Step 1:
Now that you are getting a stronger character you now have a couple of options for the next step.
Note:I would advise that you upgrade your armour...if you have the money to do so. At this level you should purchase full Addy armour. I would suggest an Addy scimitar, Long or Battle Axe as your weapon.
Option 1: Dwarven Mines/Al Kharid Mine At these 2 locations you should focus on fighting the lvl 14 scorpions. Although the drop absolutly nothing, they are a very easy kill for the experience gained.
Note:At this point you should choose what ability your character should favor. To build an all around character, I would suggest raising your strength 5 lvls, then raise your attack 5 lvls, then work on defense for 5 lvls. Then continue the process. If you have a combat calculator you can very easily determine when you will level up.
Option 2: Varrock Sewers Here you should focus on attacking the lvl 18 Skeletons just past the zombies.
Option 3: Ice Caves- mid 30's to 45 At this lvl you should focus on the lvl 28 Hobgoblins. Continue this strategy until you have reached at least lvl 45. Congratulations! You have just reached combat lvl 45.
[edit] From combat lvl 45-60
Step 1:
At this point, you should pretty much have the hang of combat training, listed below you will find some locations of good monsters to train on. Cave South of Rimmington/Ice Caves . Continue training here until you are at least lvl 53: DO THE DRAGON SLAYER QUEST! It may seem scary to fight the dragon at first. I would suggest finding a quest guide for this quest if you are fairly new to Runescape. The first time I faught him I was lvl 51, it took all that I had to beat him but I did! After you have beat this quest you can now wear Full Rune. I would also suggest buying a Rune scimmy or Battle Axe as well. Karjama Island: lvl 50-60 At these levels you should focus on the lvl 34 Deadly Red Spiders. However, for a good challenge, bring lots of food and fight the lvl 82 Lesser Demons. They take a lot longer to kill, but the experience is great. Well that is the end of the guide for now. After you have reached lvl 60 you should really consider becoming a member, if you are not so already. Congratulations! You have just reached combat lvl 60.
[edit] From Combat Lvl 60 to Lvl 75
Now you have reached a level that will be hard to train. If you didn't finish the Dragon Slayer Quest yet, do it now! The way to train on these levels is to fight those lvl 82 lesser demons. I suggest you to get full rune withe rune scimitar with you. Also, you really need to bring lobsters or swordfishes while training. Lesser Demons are tough! (If you find Blood Boy453 on the Karamja Fishing dock he'll make you some Swordfish).
[edit] From higher lvls
Level 60 (b): If you want a change, you could try Deadly Red Spiders. These are found on Crandor, and in Varrock Sewers.
Level 70 (a): You are starting to get to the point where it is getting very hard to find good monsters to train on. You will do perfectly well if you are still with Jail Guards. My advice is to stick with whatever you have found to be good experience previously.
Level 70 (b): Lessers are good to train on at around this level. They have quite a low defence, so are quite easy to kill. Occasionally you may be able to snag a Rune Med. You can find them in Crandor. (You should also try Greater Demons)
By now, you should be starting to get an idea about where is good to train and where isn't. You can keep training at the places suggested here, or you can go off and find yourself some wonderful training places!
Training (P2P)
Being a member makes training combat unimaginably easier. Here I will note down some good training places that are members-only (also use the F2P guide, as I will not be repeating parts of
Level 30: Rock crabs are an excellent way to gain experience. You will find these little critters in Relekka. You can train on these great little things until around Level 60 or 70.
Level 40 (a): Chaos Druids are good to gain experience on, and they also give great loot - herbs. They can drop 2 herbs at a time, and they almost always drop at least 1. The best place to find them is in Edgeville Dungeon in about Level 2 Wilderness, but you can also find some in Taverly Dungeon.
Level 40 (b): Thugs are good to train on around this level. They drop herbs, and you may also get yourself a low level clue. They can be found right next to the Chaos Druids, at the start of the Wilderness in Edgeville Dungeon.
Level 60: Experiments are another awesome way to gain experience. They are only Level 25, and they have 100 hitpoints, giving you an ability to hit massively upon them, while they can hardly hurt you. These are good all the way until Level 126!
Level 85: If you have done Legends Quest, the Shadow Warriors in the Legends Guild are a great place to train.
By now, you should have a pretty good idea about where you should train, so I'll leave it to you.
Magic axes in the axe hut in Level 56 Wilderness are good training too. They will attack you automatically, so you can be a bit lazy here. Remember this is in the Wilderness, so only take 3 valuable items with you. You will also need a picklock to enter the hut. 19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)19:20, 8 January 2008 (CST)Sirraland-8358
Old News Flash:WIlD is goneSirraland-8358duel arena is f2pSirraland-8358There is also BountyHuneter(bh) and Clan Wars Player Killing
As well as being able to fight the many monsters in the world of RuneScape, you can also fight directly with other players. You cannot engage in combat with other players just anywhere, you have to be in the Wilderness. Fighting with players is often very dangerous, as their attack styles vary much more than that of monsters.
In multiway combat areas, you will often be ambushed by a team of Player Killers (PK'ers).
Killing other players can reap great benefits. When you attack another player, a skull will appear above your head. This means that whenever you die, you will lose all of your items, you won't keep your 3 best items. After 20 minutes of playing (without attacking another player) your skull will disappear.
When you are in the wilderness, you will notice a skull and crossbones at the bottom right of the screen. Underneath this icon will be the "level". This dicates what levels you will be able to attack - how many levels away from your own you may attack. For example, if you were level 86, and you were in Level 4 Wilderness, you would be able to attack other players as low as Level 82, or as high as Level 90.
Brief Summary: The Wilderness is a huge area in RuneScape that allows players to attack each other. Let's say your combat level is 25. When you enter the Wilderness you will start at level 1. This means that people with a combat level within 1 of you can attack you. At level 10, you can attack players with a combat level of 15-35. Warning! Players with a level 35 combat can attack you in level 10 wilderness (if you are a level 25)! The indicator which tells you what Wilderness level you are in is located at the bottom right of the screen. The wilderness is not mapped on the official RuneScape map, but it is on our map. The wilderness extends to level 48 for Freeplay, and 56 for members.
Duelling
Dueling is a members-only feature. Dueling allows two players to engage in combat without having to go to the wilderness. If you die in a duel, you end up in Duel Arena with full health. To request a duel with another player, right click on him/her and click duel with ____. That will send a duel request to the person you want to duel with. If they accept your request the duel screen will open up. If someone sends a duel request to you, to accept you must request to duel with them. In the duel screen there are a few things you will see:
Your stake: Not only does dueling allow two players to see who is a better fighter, but it also allows them to put up a stake. The winner of the duel is the person who kills his/her opponent. If you kill your opponent in a duel, ONLY their stake will appear on the ground, as well as bones. To put up a stake, click on an item in 'Your inventory' and it will be added to your stake.
Opponent's stake: 'Opponent's stake' shows your opponent's stake.
Your inventory: 'Your inventory' shows everything in your inventory. To add an item to your stake, click on it.
Checkbox for 'No retreating': The no retreating checkbox allows to players to fight to death. If this checkbox is filled, no one can retreat, or teleport out of the duel.
Checkbox for 'No prayers': The 'No prayers' checkbox disallows the use of prayers during the whole duel.
Checkbox for 'No magic': The 'No magic' checkbox disallows the use of magic during the whole duel.
Checkbox for 'No weapons': 'No weapons' disallows the use of ALL worn items. Not just weapons.
'Accept' button: If you and your opponent click the 'Accept' button you will be brought to the next screen which shows a list of both your stakes, and what is allowed and what is not. In that screen there is an accept button also, and if you and your opponent accept, your duel will start.
The 'Decline' button closes the duel screen.

ideas for runescape:Tutorial Island
This page is for tips for tutorial island as we do not really need a page that tells us how to actually get through tutorial island as tutorial island is basically a place that tells us how to play runescape and it walks itself through so no need to do that for you but i will write some hints and tips for it.
[edit] Firstly
There are many tips associated with runescape tutorial island for example leveling to level 4 in some skills (will go over more deatail later). Level 4 being the highest you can get in tutorial island for most skills.
[edit] Why Level 4
But why level 4? Level 4 is so that people dont make lots of accounts and train them well on tutorial island in one skill or another skill just to sell the account with a high level with out ever entering the real world.
[edit] The tips
ok there are a few tips that go well with tutorial island some will be good but there is only a limited extent these tips can go as mentioned before they only go to level 4.
[edit] First tip
train level's to the max aka lvl 4 in tutorial island you can train woodcutting, fishing, firemaking and cooking to lvl 4 on tutorial island this is helpful as it gets you a head start more than other people that are on tutorial island.
Some may take a while to get up and some may just take a full load of logs for example firemaking which is where the one i was talking about above it just takes 1 full log load where as cutting them take's longer to get to level 4.
[edit] Second tip
Ok for the second tip it involves either the mage at the end of the tutorial island or the ranger.
It also involves dropping items given only to get more than pick what has been dropped back up which in returns double what you had originally.
[edit] How To Do Second Tip
get the arrows off the master
or runes
drop the runes/arrows
talk to the master again
collect runes master has given you
pick up runes you previously dropped
repeat if needed

[edit] !!WARNING!!
Do not waste your time doing this for more than necesary as you will not keep these once on the mainland they are only for practice you have been warned.
